We are Called To Listen to Our Life
Listen to Your Life....
It Speaks in the most Subtle and Sometimes Un-Subtle Ways
Dear Wholehearted Ones,
In these times where we are inundated with
social, political, and cultural messages attempting to dictate and influence
what we believe as true,
questioning our allegiance,
what we should be doing with our time,
and
how we should present ourselves
in the world.
We are socially programmed to be concern with what is happening outside of ourselves,
in terms of our visible successes,
what we are doing or accomplished,
or assessing what we should or
should not have.
While external assessments have its purpose it is not where our wholehearted
primary focus should lie.
I encourage you to listen closely to your life.
Listen to what keeps showing up
as a message,
lesson, or opportunity.
Have you ever been somewhere for the first time, however felt like you have been there before or met someone and felt like you have seen them before.
In these encounters instead trying to figure out if you had or had not been or seen that person
ask yourself this one question...
What is my life trying to tell me?
Have you attempted to make a relationship work and no matter how many times you address an issue it appears to not be resolved.
Have you ever got in your car and started driving in one direction and next thing you know you are going in a completely different direction then you intended.
On the surface one might say you just need to be more mindful of where you are heading.
However on a deeper level life will present us with subtle hints and clues to arrest our attention and let us know it is time for us to stop, reflect and check in with ourselves and ask what am I suppose to see and know about this situation?
What do I truly need to pay attention to.
What recurring themes in terms of happenings in my life I find myself in the middle of?
I invite you in the next couple of weeks as we embark upon this, 2019 New Year for you to truly listen and pay attention to your daily routine, patterns of thinking and doing things.
Pay attention to who you talk to and the type of conversation you engaged in.
Pay attention to what you are watching and consuming particularly
in your heart and mind.
I invite you to take a look at what you store in your head space.
We have been gifted a incredible opportunity everyday we wake to begin again, afresh and anew, however it starts with our willingness to stop and be present to our own life.
May you Listen to the wisdom that is revealed through the sacred listening of your heart and reap the benefits of living a mindful, rich and abundant life
now and always.
