Listening has become a luxury that everyone is not afforded. In the day and age where people feel invisible, disconnected, and un-engaged, as social isolation and loneliness has become a national health concern

What I have discovered the person listening does not have to be necessarily known, connected, or related to you. 
Sacred Listening is about completely being heard in a 
non-judgmental way.

I had a recent experience where sacred listening 
was employed at the local Dollar Tree.
 It occurred while I was preparing to purchase a few items and the cashier was checking out the merchandise she began to share her journey to getting hired, the obstacles she had face to being able to hold a job and  her plans to overcome a dreaded fear she had dealt with for most of her life.
 This cashier's sharing was unexpected, unsolicited and un-provoked, as I thought at 7 PM in the evening when I entered into that store it was for the purpose of purchasing a few items, however there was a purpose much greater than that. She needed to purge that which was in her soul as she had checked me out
 but was still talking.

 I was there to simply listen to provide a space for this cashier's heart to be seen, heard and validated. 
I invite you to have your gift of sacred listening ever ready to share with whomever is in need of being seen, 
heard, affirmed and validated.

    I will concentrate on practicing this. Others have opened their ears and their hearts to me and aided me beyond belief. I will do the same. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sure she felt your kind and wise spirit.
